THIS EXPEDITION TO KAYAK AROUND THE ISLE OF WIGHT IS A SERIOUS AND HAZARDOUS UNDERTAKING. IT IS THE EQUIVALENT OF MORE THAN FOUR MARATHONS (15M). YOU MUST BE FIT AND SKILLED TO KAYAK AROUND 30 MILES IN DIFFICULT SEA CONDITIONS IN ANY ONE DAY.

ANY SCHEDULED DATES ARE SUBJECT TO POSTPONEMENT DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS AT SHORT NOTICE.

Conditions of entry
All participants must hold at least BCU 3, and be current (paid up) members of the British Canoe Union.  Third party liability insurance (minimum £1m) must be held, and proof of membership, qualification and insurance will be required (and copy of completed entry form and TP insurance, proof of membership and qualification, sent to Paddle for Life). Participants should consider whether to take out personal accident cover for themselves. This event is organised by Paddle for Life Ltd, a registered not for profit Company.  All participants acknowledge that they take part at their own risk and must equip their kayak with complete minimum, BCU recommended safety equipment.  In so far as it is legally permitted Paddle for Life expressly disclaims any liability for loss, damage, expense or injury incurred by any participant or third party, arising from any alleged failure of Paddle for Life or any other party engaged by them in respect of the event.
